For EVO ID5/6 the FSC is a file, not a code you type in. Once you receive the FSC file by email, the install procedure is:

1. Place your EVO ID5/6 map files (sourced separately) onto a FAT32-formatted USB stick

2. Create a folder named FSC on the same USB stick, alongside the map files

3. Drop the FSC file we send you into that FSC folder

4. Insert the USB into your car's head unit USB port

5. The iDrive will detect the update and prompt you to start — follow the on-screen instructions to finish
